Today, Governor Bobby
Jindal issued the
following Executive
Proclamation proclaiming
the month of September
as “Preparedness Month”
in the State of
Louisiana.
Proclamation on
preparedness month:

WHEREAS, |
natural or man
made disasters
can happen at
any time; and |
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, |
wind, flood,
tornado or storm
damage can cause
the loss of
businesses,
homes, and even
lives, in
addition to a
significant
financial cost;
and |
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, |
preparing to
prevent damage
during disasters
is just as
important as
being ready to
respond when any
type of natural
or manmade
disaster
strikes. |

|
|
NOW, THEREFORE, |
I, Bobby Jindal,
Governor of the
State of
Louisiana, do
hereby proclaim
September 2009
as |

PREPAREDNESS
MONTH |
|

in the State of
Louisiana. |
