Laura Beth Lott serves as the Assistant Director of Financial Operations & Administration in the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) and was hired in February 2024.

Laura Beth began her career as an auditor with the Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s Office in 1995 and took an accountant position in the Fiscal Department at the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Behavioral Health, and Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System (ELMHS) in 2004. During her career at ELMHS, Mrs. Lott served as Accountant Manager, Fiscal Director, Assistant Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Executive Officer.  

Laura Beth was born and raised in St. Francisville.  She has been married to William Lott for the last twenty-seven years; they have two children, Margaret Anne and Mary Catherine.

Laura Beth obtained her undergraduate degree from LSU in 1995 with a BS in Accounting; she is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant. 

Mrs. Lott is an active member of the Feliciana Methodist Church and enjoys spending free time with her family.
