Lynne Browning serves as the Assistant Deputy Director of the Public Assistance Division of the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. Since joining the agency in 2007, Lynne has held numerous public assistance positions to include Assistant Section Chief, Section Chief, Executive Officer and Assistant Deputy Director. In her current role she oversees the delivery, reimbursement, technical advice, issue resolution and closeout of the FEMA Public Assistance Grant program for 15 open disasters encompassing over $16 billion dollars in funding. Lynne is currently also serving as the Region 6 representative on the FEMA Public Assistance Steering Committee.
Prior to her tenure at GOHSEP she spent 16 years in the banking industry with focus on consumer lending and mortgage. She spent 8 years at Wells Fargo Bank in mortgage underwriting and overseeing operations as a Lending Manager. Prior to that she worked for United Companies and Neighbors Federal Credit Union in consumer and mortgage lending.
Lynne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Louisiana State University. She and her husband Lance reside in Central and have one adult child, Paige.
