Baton Rouge, LA—Today, Governor Landry announced a cost savings restructure of the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP). GOHSEP will now be under the Louisiana National Guard with Brig. Gen. Jason Mahfouz serving as the interim director of GOHSEP—responsible for day-to-day operations. Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Thomas Friloux, will provide oversight to GOHSEP during this transition.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that low interest federal disaster loans are now available to small businesses and private nonprofit (PNP) organizations in Louisiana who sustained economic losses caused by the January 2025 winter storm that occurred Jan. 21-24. The SBA issued a disaster declaration in response to a request received from Gov. Jeff Landry on Feb. 4.
NEW ORLEANS — The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans is a ‘No Drone Zone’ for Super Bowl LIX. Drones are also prohibited in and around the downtown area during the days leading up to the event. Drone operators who enter the restricted areas with their devices without permission could face drone confiscation, fines up to $75,000 and potential criminal prosecution.
