Stay Weather Aware due to Severe Thunderstorm Threat Beginning Thursday March 17, 2022

Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) is closely monitoring the threat for severe thunderstorms beginning Thursday evening and continuing Friday. According to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center (SPC), the threats are expected late this afternoon into this evening for parts of Oklahoma and Texas. The threat begins tonight in parts of Louisiana and Mississippi. Large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes are possible.
