To lead and integrate response operations that strengthen statewide preparedness, situational awareness, and coordinated action during emergencies, ensuring communities remain safe, resilient, and capable of responding to all hazards.
Response Division Mission
The mission of the Response Division is to coordinate and support statewide emergency response operations by integrating logistics, operational coordination, regional engagement, intelligence sharing, and homeland security initiatives. The division works collaboratively with federal, state, local, tribal, and private sector partners to ensure a unified and effective response to incidents, disasters, and emerging threats.
Key mission functions include:
- Operational Coordination: Maintain situational awareness and support operational decision-making through coordinated response activities and a common operating picture.
- Resource Support: Ensure resources, equipment, and logistical support are available and effectively distributed to support response operations.
- Regional Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with regional jurisdictions and provide coordination and support to local emergency management partners.
- Information Sharing: Facilitate intelligence coordination and timely information flow among partners to support operational awareness and threat response.
- Homeland Security Programs: Support statewide initiatives that enhance preparedness, interoperability, and specialized response capabilities.
