The National Weather Service projects Tropical Depression Two to move inland over SELA Wednesday, July 22. St. Charles Parish is now projected to have 1-2" of rainfall total. As a precaution, St. Charles Parish has established self-service sandbag stations at the East and West Bank Bridge Parks, as well as Badeaux Lane in Des Allemands.

These sites are open now. We ask that you bring your own shovel, ID, and ask elderly family and neighbors if they need any sandbags at their home.

The Department of Public Works is preparing for this system by checking pump stations, clearing storm drains, and ensuring all pump stations are fully operational. Please refrain from placing new debris at the curb and help reduce flooding by keeping your ditch clean and clear.

As the system approaches, residents should continue monitoring the weather and following guidance from local officials. To customize alerts, sign up at www.scpemergencyalerts.com or text SCPALERTS to 88877 to receive all alerts.
